BlackDiamond 10808 Series
BlackDiamond 10808 can deliver a high level of
security to Ethernet core networking. BlackDiamond 10808 complements the
perimeter firewalls by protecting the interior of the network that sometimes
goes unprotected. BlackDiamond 10808 can be programmed to automatically detect
and reduce security threats. This is accomplished through threat detection and
response with CLEAR-Flow Security Rules Engine, Layer 3 virtual switching and
hardened network infrastructure.
BlackDiamond 10808 allows every active component of a network, including the
operating system, to be upgraded without taking the switch out of service.
BlackDiamond 10808 also utilizes the ExtremeXOS modular operating system to
raise the availability of the switch.
BlackDiamond 10808 offers 10 gigabit and Gigabit Ethernet port density scales
to meet instant requirements and anticipates future requirements of very
demanding IPv4 and IPv6 environments. This is achieved through system
scalability with large table sizes, port capacity, quality of service and
multicast performance, providing application scalability, and scalable
