The StorageWorks 400 Multi-Protocol Router provides both FCIP Tunneling Services, as well as FC-FC Subnet Routing Services. This helps to simply design, implementation, and management, and allows for secure, seamless sharing of resources between multiple SANs. This results in a more flexible, stable, and scalable infrastructure unlimited by distance between separate SAN islands.

Disruptions from events such as storage or server consolidation, data migration, application rebalancing between fabrics, and migration to production environments are no longer a problem. The StorageWorks 400 Multi-Protocol Router enables seamless and secure sharing of resources between multiple SANs, without the need for a physical connection between the SANs.
