The HP ProCurve Switch 2300 Series are unmanaged switches, available in 12 and 24-port configurations. Uplinks or server connections are enabled by utilizing the included Gigabit or 100Base-FX media-flexible uplink ports. ProCurve Auto-MDIX can detect the presence of straight-through or crossover cables and automatically makes the necessary configuration changes.

The HP ProCurve Switch 2300 Series offers Half-/Full-duplex auto-negotiating on all ports, effectively doubling the throughput. High-performance switch design and, non-blocking architecture are provided by 9.6 Gbps switch fabric integrated on chip. Reliable communications during full-duplex operation are ensured by the use of Flow control.
